death to turkey

let's see, where was i...?

turkey day 2

son of turkey

as you can probably guess, i did indeed catch a ride from the austin bus station. on arriving there and seeing no family members waving or otherwise acting silly, i sneakily snuck over to a free phone and gave the family a ring.

(i suppose i should mention at this point that i was originally expecting to arrive in austin around four, but didn't arrive until seven. i don't want to ride greyhound again for a long time.)

so, once i got to my parents' house, the turkey was eaten and the rolls were cold. on top of that, it was only then that i realized that the rest of the family -- i.e., my brother, his wife, and my other sister -- hadn't come for thanksgiving, and that i had just assumed that they would be. okay, kids, do you remember what it makes of you and me when we assume?

well, the next two days passed pretty quickly. if anyone is actually interested in this, i'll tell you about the blues band i saw on friday, and the odd characters observed on the way home (all twelve million miles). sign the guestbook if you want to know. heck, sign the guestbook anyway.
