so i've noticed that, due to the internet, we as a people are becoming more used to reading phrases without any spaces in them, justlikethis.com. i wonder what the effect will be on our language and perceptions of language (and, since we think in language, our thoughts, and since we are largely our thoughts, us)?
yes, we are only largely our conscious verbal thoughts, and some people more or less than others. i believe that some people act on instinct or purely on desire and so are not governed as strongly by what they can express verbally. i am very much always trying to express things, and if i can't figure something out, i may not do it even if i want to. some people, on the other hand, can't explain themselves even when they're trying to. "i don't know," they say, "it's just what i do."
for some reason, there is not enough that i just do.
