how do you feel about that?

i want to take a cue from my friend tubby and create a new blog about a particular, meaningful aspect of my life. her new blog is about her sex life. mine would be about music. it would say at the top, "music is pornography", and would document the inner workings of a musician's life (i.e. mine).

don't agree that music is pornography? good music makes me want to make music. music is often used as an easy source of income. what do you do at a show? you stand around and watch (and listen to) other people doing something together, and hopefully enjoy it.

okay, actually i don't think that music has to be pornographic. i just think that the current state of music and how it's used resemble pornography.

maybe pornography actually resembles music, but in a twisted way.

and of course all these statements could probably be expanded to art in general. somebody's probably already written a doctoral thesis on the subject.

this diary is becoming more and more a sporadic sampling of random moments, less and less a reflection of what's actually going on in my life.
