american culture on the skids

i suppose i should have something to say, ten days now after last speaking.

actually, the last time i spoke was only five days ago, but that is neither here nor there.

there are two other fellows who haunt the computer laboratories of this campus as frequently as i, and apparently almost as frivolously, as well. i tend to feel superior to them, though, because i am writing code in php and javascript (when not whining onto the internet), as opposed to writing posts on message boards about harry potter, and faqs about walt disney & co.

are either one of us feeding starving orphans or tending to war-harried refugees? i don't think so. (i could be wrong.)

speaking of the war, i've been convinced that there's no good that can come of it, that it will change nothing, and that it's all about oil, or even something more (or less, depending on how cynical you are). then i read chelledaisy's account of the iraqi people's perspective of the war. imagine that: asking the subject of your assault how they feel about it. it appears that iraq doesn't feel as assaulted by america as much it does by its own leader.

later on aikan.diaryland.com: more whining, links, and general lack of coherency. stay tuned for increasing coverage of something. just stay tuned, whatever you do. look, i'm dancing like a monkey! don't change that channel! don't you dare---

it's getting hot in here
so take off all your clothes.
