solitary refinement
here are some other things i've been reminded of from playing windows solitaire:
- sometimes it's better just to start from scratch rather than keep staring at the unfixable mess you're in
- if you don't know what to do next, it may help to think about something else for a while, to, as snarkymarky says, let nonessential thoughts go away.
- sometimes you have to take risks in order to move forward. (if you know me at all, you'll know that this is one i should meditate on frequently, or rather, stop meditating on and just do something about already!)
- sometimes things do turn out okay after all.
well, wasn't that nice and zen? i should get a poster made of it. now, i'm tired and so i'm going to stop typing things into this little white box, and go finish my game of solitaire.
geez, that was corny. i should be on the local news.
actually, i'm not done with the little white box. suddenly i'm wrestling with the difficulties of communicating with people (and then i'm wrestling with the difficulties of explaining it to you all).
and now i'm just wrestling with the difficulties of writing a diary entry at well after midnight (that's right, i've been at it for almost an hour) while instant messaging and being really tired. these things are fairly synonymous to me lately. i guess that's a sign, as if i needed one.
